PBS News Weekend helped their brethren at NPR promote a podcast series on Sunday in a segment headlined "How online misinformation is ‘supercharging’ conspiracy theories." Podcaster Zach Mack made a three-part podcast on how his conservative Christian father has gone down a "rabbit hole" of conspiracy thinking.

Now that they're in a public-relations battle with Republicans over defunding PBS, the network is out promoting themselves on social media, using "average Americans" who appreciate their work. 

The weekly gathering of Washington Post associate editor Jonathan Capehart and New York Times columnist David Brooks on PBS News Hour was extra animated this Friday as the duo decried DOGE’s “cruelty,” claimed “democracy is teetering,” and labeled President Trump an “extortionist.”

The so-called "climate emergency" is Exhibit A in the intolerance of "public" broadcasting for an opposing point of view. Either you perpetually believe we're ten years away from mass death (as PBS projected in 1990), or you cannot appear on PBS.

PBS News Hour White House correspondent Laura Barron-Lopez had an eventful Monday show. Within the span of two minutes, she managed to omit that a recently deported visa holder admitted to attending Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah's funeral and interviewed Law Professor Kim Wehle, who suggested Trump’s immigration policies writ large should merit a third impeachment.
