The liberal journalism non-profit ProPublica is expanding again — this time to Washington, DC so it can do even more anti-Trump administration investigations. Of course, that wasn’t how the group framed it, but it’s doubtful it’ll be doing a lot of investigations of liberals considering its donor base and the articles it chose to showcase this expansion.

The media don’t like it when people point out their direct ties to the left. The Washington Post defended liberal billionaire George Soros and his funding of left-wing journalism outlet ProPublica Dec. 13. The paper lashed out at a GOP governor who pointed out ProPublica gets funding from Soros and other liberals.

Soros-funded journalism is coming to seven states in 2018, thanks to ProPublica. The liberal journalism nonprofit announced on Dec. 9 it had chosen journalists in Louisiana, West Virginia, Oregon, New Mexico, Indiana, Illinois and Florida to receive year-long stipends to pursue ProPublica-approved investigations.

Buzzfeed showed its lack of journalistic integrity last week by publishing an unverified dossier accusing President-elect Trump of communicating with Russian operatives. After BuzzFeed published the document on Jan. 10, even liberal news outlets including The Washington Post, the Atlantic and Vox criticized Buzzfeed’s choice. After the election of Donald Trump, liberal groups are banding together to document hate crimes. At least ones that impact liberal victim groups. ProPublica, a left-wing nonprofit media outlet funded by George Soros, just launched a brand new project called “Documenting Hate.”

Since comedian John Oliver recommended people donate to the liberal journalism site  ProPublica, donations have been pouring in, according to The New York Times.​ The Times also reported that nonprofit journalism in general has seen a spike in donations (especially small ones) since Donald Trump was elected the 45th president of the United States. 

A Soros-funded journalism organization also has copies of secret intelligence files from NSA leaker Edward Snowden. Reuters revealed this during an Aug. 30 article that called ProPublica an “independent investigative journalism group,” and made no mention of its political left-wing leanings.
