Wednesday night on NBC’s The Tonight Show, host Jimmy Fallon had Michelle Obama on as his guest for one of her final television appearances as First Lady. Fallon is known for being very friendly towards his guests but his interview with Mrs. Obama was completely out of the ordinary in gushiness.

Although NBC spent 11 years bolstering the Trump name, the network has engaged in a concerted effort to tear the mogul down through its entertainment programming.

On Thursday night, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon came on late on the East Coast due to the first NFL game airing on NBC. But Fallon did offer a funny bit about how they may offer new voices on the Siri app. First, he had an Obama impersonator give him the weather forecast, then had a Hillary Clinton impersonator imagine what a Hillary answer would be on Siri -- about helping with e-mails.

NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt disputed the notion that his network was responsible for Donald Trump nabbing the republican presidential nomination. "There's really not that much of a correlation between one and the other," Greenblatt said in reference to Trump’s appearance on television and his success as a presidential candidate.

Donald Trump officially launched his presidential bid in 2016, but according to an NBC producer the campaign started “decades” earlier in NBC appearances. For years, Trump campaigned on NBC and CBS late night shows reiterating talking points similar to ones he’s used in his presidential campaign, according to former Tonight Show producer Dave Berg’s July 11, USA Today op-ed.

Tuesday’s Tonight Show featured two actors known for having portrayed politicians with Josh Brolin and Kate McKinnon as Brolin touted his desire to never meet former President George W. Bush (after playing him in Oliver Stone’s W.) and McKinnon swooned that Hillary Clinton was “literally a dreamboat” as “[s]he’s one of my favorite people.”
