Earlier this month, three Metro D.C. police officers were shot in the line of duty, as they were serving a warrant on charges of animal cruelty. All three networks reported on the shooting at the time. However, none of them reported on the arrest of the shooter, perhaps due to a very inconvenient and uncomfortable reason: the shooter is in the country illegally.

Last week, we reported on the evening news’ spotty reporting of the campaign to persuade Michigan Democrats to vote for “Uncommitted” in tomorrow’s primary, in protest of President Joe Biden’s response to Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza. A week later, and on the eve of the primary, ABC’s World News Tonight remains steadfast in their refusal to cover the protest vote.

The nation reels over images of Venezuelan migrants beating up on New York cops in Times Square, and is disgusted to discover that the dangerous transnational criminal gang known as Tren de Aragua has established beachheads in New York, Miami and Chicago. Reasonable people might believe that it is time, perhaps, to accelerate deportation of these criminal elements back to Venezuela. But did…

The networks are doing their level best to continue to fuel the ongoing panic over in-vitro fertilization treatments (IVF) in the wake of Alabama’s Supreme Court opinion that granted embryos rights equal to those of a child in utero. But from watching the coverage, it is pretty obvious that what is happening is about something beyond just IVF.

Among the evening network newscasts, ABC News continues its unparalleled run as the most stridently and shamelessly pro-Biden. Tonight’s report on the latest student loan handout might as well have come from the White House’s comms shop.

A study of the ABC, CBS and NBC evening news since the New Hampshire primary finds Donald Trump getting five times the coverage of challenger Nikki Haley, even as the networks pound the former President with 89% negative coverage.

On Sunday, Politico published a gigantic tome to the tune of over 7,000 words from Ben Schreckinger laying out a disturbing tale of Biden family corruption enveloping Jim Biden and a sham hospital chain that, while he tried to bring his brother Joe on board and floated giving him equity, mired in claims of Medicare fraud and a collapse with deadly consequences for rural communities.…

You would think, with a little over a week to go before Michigan’s presidential primary election, that a Democrat member of Congress mounting an insurgent rejection campaign against President Joe Biden might garner coverage across the network evening newscasts. Alas, you would’ve thought wrong. Only one network found room for the push for a vote of “uncommitted” on the Democratic Party’s…

Among all the networks, it was ABC that fangirled the hardest at Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ turn on the witness stand in a hearing to determine whether her office is fit to prosecute former President Donald Trump. 

“Disappointing”. “Frustrating”. “A rough day for the markets”. After this morning’s cheerful attempts to spin the higher-than-expected Consumer Price Index for January, the networks have very clearly course-corrected. The evening newscasts were far more reflective of the harsh reality of what the report indicated. 

ABC's World News Tonight continues to distinguish itself as the main purveyor of Biden talking points among the national network evening newscasts. Tonight’s embarrassment of a report on Ukraine, the border, and reaction to former President Donald Trump’s remarks regarding NATO might as well have been read to us from behind the lectern in the Brady Room.

The networks each sang from the same hymnal as they covered the awful shooting at Houston’s Lakewood Church: actively excluding the trans identity of the shooter, which caused a great deal of confusion as details of the story were trickling in.

A funny thing happened on the way to wall-to-wall coverage of the Supreme Court hearing on Colorado’s decision to disqualify former President Donald Trump on 14th Amendment grounds: Special Counsel Robert Hur published his office’s report on the investigation of President Joe Biden’s handling of classified documents, and bedlam ensued.
