Appearing on Rachel Maddow's MSNBC show last night, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez accused President Trump of "racist and violent rhetoric" regarding illegal immigration. As a result, said AOC: "We're talking about people feeling unsafe. And no one should feel unsafe in the United States of America, and that includes our amazing, and beautiful, and productive, immigrant community."

The media have spent the last two years arrogantly proclaiming that they were the urgently needed public servants who would boldly challenge power and ask the tough questions. But does that boldness continue when the Democrats win some power back? It doesn’t look like it. Democrats can say the wildest things, and often, the so-called Courageous Media bends and move on.

CBS This Morning on Friday offered a platform to radical socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, deeming the new Congresswoman’s extreme views as “interesting.” The network, which will showcase the socialist in a 60 Minutes segment on Sunday, previewed it by allowing Ocasio-Cortez to compare herself to Abraham Lincoln and Franklin D. Writer Michelle Ye Hee Lee discussed how flipping the House -- as in the U.S. House of Representatives, not the mansion up for grabs in Jennifer Aniston’s latest divorce -- “has blossomed into Hollywood’s nerdy new hobby.”

Michael Moore’s anti-American polemics and bomb-throwing “journalism” are usually taken with a grain of salt. But in the era of Trump, the salt shaker is nowhere to be found. And his new movie, Fahrenheit 11/9, has a Rotten Tomato score that indicates that the conspiracy-peddling director has hit the sweet spot in terms of what the media wants.
