Thursday marked the final episode of the CBS Evening News in its Norah O’Donnell era following five and a half years in which she anchored the newscast during some of the more consequential times in our country’s history, but also oversaw CBS cementing itself in third-place for network news and plenty of liberal bias.

NBC’s Today came out firing Thursday thoroughly pleased with how their friends at the Democratic National Convention programmed the night prior, deeming it an “unforgettable” and “supercharged” night “heavy on star power” with vice presidential nominee Tim Walz giving off “Midwest dad energy” hounded by Republicans and Oprah Winfrey “expand[ing] the tent” for Democrats.

Thursday’s CBS Mornings did its part to continue the liberal gloating after Tuesday’s midterms results, including the time-old tradition of fawning over diversity victories. This time, co-host and Democratic donor Gayle King marveled over Democrat Wes Moore winning the governor’s mansion in a “historic victory” for deep-blue Maryland.

Of all the stories that could’ve led off Friday’s CNN This Morning, the one that the cast settled on was Oprah Winfrey endorsing John Fetterman in Pennsylvania’s Senate race with co-host Don Lemon desperately trying to suggest it all mattered.

Always remember: when someone tells you who they are, believe them. And the Oprah Winfrey Network’s Queen Sugar showed its true self by claiming every white male is a bad guy for the crime of being born.
