Would you look at that? The creator of the “1619 Project,” that infernal New York Times piece that reframes America’s founding as being all about promoting slavery, is a fan of Communism and what Castro did to Cuba. Are we surprised? Well no, not really.

CBS This Morning Saturday embraced the idea that, of course, journalism is activism and we should all just get used to it. Co-host Michelle Miller on July 17 cheered Nikole Hannah Jones, the author of the historically corrupt 1619 Project as the modern day Ida B. Wells, a woman who heroically battled the KKK as she exposed the horrors of lynching. 

On Saturday, MSNBC weekend host Tiffany Cross claimed Critical Race Theory is just the latest culture war boogeyman conservatives are using in their attempt to "whitewash America." Yet, she also maintained on her Saturday show that CRT is necessary in order to explain why 1619 Project creator Nikole Hannah-Jones was initially denied tenure at the University of North Carolina.

“Critical race theory” has become the latest “Republicans pounce” story. Liberal media outlets are upset that this is being debated before school boards. On July 7, CNN reporter Elle Reeve complained “relentless propaganda from some conservatives created a panic that white people and especially white children are under attack.” Perish the thought.

MSNBC is continuing to promote the widely discredited 1619 Project and its creator, Nikole Hannah-Jones. On Tuesday’s The Beat, guest host Jason Johnson brought on MSNBC’s 7:00 pm ET hour host Joy Reid to discuss Hannah-Jones’s decision to leave The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill for a position at Howard University, a historically black university.

Fresh off mocking the Christian faith of Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) and agreeing with the claim that January 6 was worse than September 11, 2001, MSNBC’s ReidOut host Joy Reid spent 13 minutes hurling more race-baiting venom with fellow race hustlers Ta-Nehisi Coates and Nikole Hannah-Jones hours after the two announced they would be joining Howard University’s faulty.

Politico reporter Maya King offered a piece on Wednesday on how Critical Race Theory is affecting politics. Republicans are "hoping turn that discord into political capital." As if the Democrats and their race-based interest groups like the NAACP aren't using this for political gain?

CBS This Morning journalists butchered the facts on Wednesday as they spun the withholding of tenure to Nikole Hannah-Jones into a GOP plot. Reporter Nikki Battiste suggested Hannah-Jones’s 1619 Project is only being “criticized by Republicans,” ignoring the fact that Pulitzer-Prize-winning historians (who are not conservative) have also done so.

1619 Project creator Nikole Hannah-Jones has employed her victimhood status to devastating effect in her professional career. Now, her recent suckering of UNC into giving her tenure - and then ultimately rejecting it - shows us all how race-baiters have been playing the American public for fools.

The journalists at CBS This Morning on Tuesday continued their efforts to hide the historical illiteracy and massive errors in the 1619 Project. Co-host Gayle King devoted 10 minutes to gushing over lead writer Nikole Hannah Jones, The New York Times journalist who just turned down a professorship position at the University of North Carolina after a tenure battle. 

The world was a much better place when Nikole Hannah-Jones, the creator of the 1619 Project, wasn’t given institutional street cred. But good things never last. Not only has Nikole Hannah-Jones won a Pulitzer for her dubious, divisive and frankly malignant critical race theory reinterpretation of American history, she has been given tenure at an actual big name university.
