Swell, our beloved Hollywood stars are busy crafting their politicized speeches for the Academy Awards program. I'll bet you can't wait. Oscar-nominated English actor Daniel Kaluuya, in an interview with W magazine, opined that racism is more pronounced in America than in Britain. So happy to learn this and can't wait for his upcoming lecture.

The media loves to slobber over The Post. In the recently released list of 2018 Oscar nominations, The Post (Steven Spielberg’s attempt to address Trump through film) was recognized twice. The film, which was cobbled together after Trump was elected president as some form of cinematic resistance, somehow managed to be nominated for best film and for best actress.  

To quote a beloved children’s character, “Hollywood puts out some of the greatest trash I’ve ever seen.” Now Hollywood just uses it to be political. So when Hollywood media, such as Entertainment Weekly, spends half their time counting down to the Oscar awards (only 156 days more, guys!), it’s telling to see the films and actors that get the biggest buzz.

This Fall TV season is starting to arrive and the Emmys are just around the corner. Likely both will provide the media with new opportunities to preach to ordinary Americans about how diverse Hollywood is. But what those claims won’t tell you is that Hollywood is one of the most racist, sexist places to work.

The 2017 Academy Awards ceremony felt more like a DNC revival than a tribute to the year’s best movies. Winner after winner, joke after monologue joke targeted new President Donald Trump. That may have been a warm-up act. Hollywood has embraced the resistance hashtag as much as any industry. And there are no signs that will stop as we steer into awards season.

Leonardo DiCaprio claims to care about the Earth. He also blames mankind for the threat of climate change. But he’s unwilling to let his passion for the planet get in the way of his Oscar preening.

The 89th Academy Awards, aka The Oscars, was broadcast by ABC live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday night, hosted by late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel. As with other award shows of late, politics reared its ugly liberal head and showed us exactly why Hollywood is often referred to derisively as "La La Land."

Celebs weren't the only ones getting political through Oscars evening -- journalists and liberal organizations did too. 

Michael Moore predicted that political Oscars speeches will be well received this year. But before the spiels even got under way, stars were making a statement on the red carpet. 

If you’re going to watch Sunday’s Oscars, be prepared for a tsunami of liberal rage, more so than the usual Academy Awards. The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday reported that actor Jack Black hailed actress Meryl Streep’s Golden Globes speech and lobbied for more at the Oscars: “I just hope she wins the Oscar and talks some more shit about that asshole.”

On Thursday, The New York Times launched a new marketing campaign by releasing a TV ad set to air during Sunday’s Academy Awards with the tag line, “The truth is more important than ever,” seemingly taking a jab at President Donald Trump. Given the paper’s blatant liberal bias and willingness to report fake news stories, the notion that the Times is the arbiter of the “truth” is laughable.
