In October, a leftist outlet funded by liberal billionaire George Soros shockingly poked holes in Communist Chinese Party (CCP), Big Tech and liberal media propaganda that the COVID-19 lab leak theory was debunked. ProPublica’s story revealed a lab team in chaos, operating with “no equipment and technology standards, no design and construction teams, and no experience operating or maintaining” a high-security biolab.
As virologist Lawrence Kerr reportedly said in comments to ProPublica: ‘It’s like, holy crap, if you are working in a lab like that, I don’t understand why people don’t shut it down.’” Kerr reportedly recently retired as the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’s director of the Office of Pandemics and Emerging Threats.
Per ProPublica, which received $1,450,008 from Soros between 2016 and 2019, the CCP’s biolab had all the elements for a “catastrophe” — making questions about a lab leak especially “apt.” But the liberal media, of course, parroted the CCP’s propaganda during the very early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, reporting back in March 2020 that a “seafood market” in Wuhan, China, was the epicenter of the outbreak. ProPublica’s bombshell Oct. 28 investigative report took the absurd Wuhan wet market origin theory head-on in a story headlined “COVID-19 Origins: Investigating a ‘Complex and Grave Situation’ Inside a Wuhan Lab.”
The million-dollar question remains: Why did ProPublica choose now to admit the validity of the lab leak theory well over two years after political leaders first thrust devastating lockdowns and restrictions on Americans and other world populations?
And another question: Why did Full Fact, a Soros-funded fact-checker, publish a piece in February 2020 headlined, “There's no evidence that the 2019 coronavirus originated in a Chinese government laboratory," in a complete reversal of what ProPublica reported in October?
It was as if the outlet was trying to frame the narrative about the virus pre-pandemic. Now, it appears, the facts have come full circle.
CCP documents and internal communications reviewed by ProPublica suggest that COVID-19 may have actually emerged from a lab leak out of a CCP-funded, highly secretive laboratory focused specifically on “the world’s most lethal pathogens.”
In further support of the lab leak theory, ProPublica said Chinese dispatches from 2019 “referenced inhumane working conditions and ‘hidden safety dangers’” within the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) biolab. And that same year, a CCP dispatch “appeared to reference a biosecurity breach.”
The documents, originally in Chinese, are disturbing: “once you have opened the stored test tubes, it is just as if having opened Pandora’s Box,” according to a translation provided by ProPublica. [Emphasis added].
The notorious “state-run and funded” WIV is “just 8 miles from the crowded seafood market where COVID-19 first burst into public view.” And as ProPublica explained, WIV research “must advance the goals” of the CCP.
The liberal media, however, has routinely pushed the Wuhan wet market theory in lockstep with the CCP’s narrative on the origins of COVID-19. Liu Pengyu, a spokesperson for the Chinese Embassy in the U.S., triumphantly shared a story from The Guardian in July 2021. “The ‘lab leak’ theories are ‘catering to political discourse’, and ‘there is currently no clear evidence that any of these steps (that lead to leaks) have happened.’”
