Despite the fact that practically nobody in Hollywood is employed right now due to the writers strike, pro-abortion groups are still begging for money.
After Roe v. Wade was overturned, numerous Hollywood actors and groups donated funds to groups like Planned Parenthood to help keep baby death rates up.
As “the momentum has dropped off” from the shock wave of Roe’s overturn, those donations have slowed and pro-abort groups are now asking for more.
According to a writeup by The Hollywood Reporter (THR), last summer “abortion rights groups saw a flood of interest and activism nationally — and from Hollywood.” Supposedly Lin-Manuel Miranda and his Hamilton team raised money for a fund called Ham4Choice which funneled funds to abortion providing nonprofits. Similarly, singers like Harry Styles and Lizzo allegedly donated millions to slaughterhouse groups Planned Parenthood and Physicians for Reproductive Health.
THR also indicated shows like “Inside Amy Schumer” and “The Daily Show” gave shoutouts to smaller groups like The Brigid Alliance who arranges and pays for women to travel for abortions. Singers Phoebe Bridgers and Maggie Rogers even raised $75,000 for that alliance after collaborating for a cover of the song “Iris,” originally from the Goo Goo Dolls.
Now, over a year later, “the rush of giving has slowed.” This is good news. Less money being donated to pro-abort groups means less abortions which means less unnecessary baby murders. This seems like a win to me - but for pro-aborts, this is a threat to their baby killing goals.
Here’s what The Brigid Alliance’s senior director of external relations, Sarah Moeller, said about the situation:
When the leak happened [in advance of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization ruling], it fueled a surge of passion and emotion across the country, and that included the entertainment industry. Now, the momentum has dropped off. There are so many things challenging our society right now. It’s hard to sustain people’s attention when there’s a new disaster every day.
Oh the drama!
This chick is literally begging for more money to kill babies. How freakin’ twisted is that!?
According to THR, in July 2022, right after Roe was overturned, Physicians for Reproductive Health gained roughly 600 new donors but this year it only gained around 200. “The energy has died down, which is challenging and disappointing because the need for our work is just as much, if not worse,” the group's director of engagement said.
It’s pretty low of these groups to be so desperate for money from the hell hole that is Hollywood in order to keep killing babies. But then again, this is the left we’re dealing with so I can’t say I’m too surprised.
