How convenient for the Democrats. A last-minute Univision Get-Out-The-Vote (GOTV) ad that ran on social media, featuring a line-up of the network's top talent, called on voters to base their votes only on core issues pushed by the Democrats, and left out the leading issue (the economy) promoted by Republicans.
The 15-second spot opens with Univision senior news anchor Jorge Ramos, who is then followed by five colleagues: fellow news anchors Patricia Janiot and Ilia Calderón, Despierta América morning show host Francisca Lachapel, Aquí y Ahora ("Here and Now") show host Teresa Rodríguez and correspondent María Antonieta Collins. Each briefly mentions the issues Univision considers crucial at the hour of casting a vote, namely, health care, education, and immigration. Ramos then wraps up the spot, saying "Vote with me."
