During a brief segment at the end of Sunday's Reliable Sources on CNN, host Brian Stelter and CNN media analyst David Zurawik discussed a new book that's set to be released by two New York Times reporters that details behind the scenes drama in the Biden White House.
One excerpt from the book which Stelter was predictably all over was a comment President Biden allegedly made about Fox News and NewsCorp CEO Rupert Murdoch in which he called the network "a danger to democracy" and Murdoch "the most dangerous man in the world."
"They have some interesting insight[s] about President Biden and Fox News," Stelter proclaimed about the authors of the forthcoming book. He then read a portion of the excerpt that had him all excited:
They say as Fox spewed forth a torrent of anti-Biden programming, stoking skepticism about vaccines and disseminating wild conspiracy theories about January 6, the Democratic President assessed Fox as one of the most destructive sources in the United States and told an associate midway through 2021 that it’s corporate overlord the Australian-born NewsCorp chairman Rupert Murdoch was even more toxic than that. Murdoch, Biden said was, quote, the most dangerous man in the world.
Stelter then brought back the always deranged David Zurawik to see if he believes Biden had in fact said that about Fox News and Murdoch. Zurawik wasn't sure if the quote was accurate but predictably agreed with the President's reported remarks, adding "I’m with him if he did say it, and I think I know what he means"
Zurawik explained why he thought Fox News & Murdoch were dangerous to democracy and the world at large: "Rupert Murdoch has allow[ed] this kind of disinformation and misinformation to flow through American life to millions of Americans and he does nothing about it."
Stelter didn't push back. Instead, he just smirked and said "well, you’re not the only one who feels that way clearly."
It should be noted that Stelter and his colleagues at CNN lost their minds on a daily basis when former President Trump called their network "Fake News", yet Stelter apparently has no problem with Biden and Zurawik calling Fox News and their CEO dangerous.

DAVID ZURAWIK: You know, I don’t know if Biden actually said it, but I’m with him if he did say it, and I think I know what he means. Biden is pretty good on this stuff. Rupert Murdoch has allows this kind of disinformation and misinformation to flow through American life to millions of Americans and he does nothing about it.
