So much for the Hunter Biden scandals being “Russian disinformation” as CNN has told their dwindling viewership since the 2020 presidential election. On Sunday’s Reliable Sources on CNN, host Brian Stelter shocked viewers during his interview with First Lady Jill Biden’s press secretary Michael LaRosa by not only admitting Hunter Biden’s many scandals and alleged crimes are real but that they aren’t just “a right-wing media story.”
After laughing it up with LaRosa about how the First Lady doesn’t know where to find Fox News on her television dial, Stelter asked a real question: “What about Hunter? Hunter, under federal investigation, charges could be coming at any time. This is not just a right-wing media story. This is a real problem for the Bidens. Could he decide not to run for re-election given his son?”

Sidestepping the Hunter question, LaRosa decided to focus on the question of whether President Biden will run for reelection in 2024. “They [the Bidens] make decisions as a family. And they will make that decision when it's time,” LaRosa claimed.
Stelter responded by asking if he thinks “they've talked about it yet.” LaRosa scoffed “the President’s doing his job. He’s doing his work. He's not focused on that. It's 19 months. Why would he be doing that?”
Responding to Stelter’s next question of whether the press is getting ahead of itself, LaRosa claimed that are “way ahead.” Adding that “there's more work to do. It's been 19 months. He intends to run, like I said. But I think the focus should be from the press on how what he is doing is affecting people out in the country.”
The fact that Stelter brought up Hunter Biden shows how much of a liability the President’s delinquent son is to the Biden administration. The media can only hide scandals like this for so long before it becomes glaringly obvious that they’re ignoring it.
Flashback to October 2020, only weeks prior to the November 2020 presidential election, Stelter proclaimed that the Hunter Biden story was a “manufactured scandal” intended to smear the Biden campaign.

11:12:45 a.m. EasternBRIAN STELTER: What about Hunter? Hunter, under federal investigation, charges could be coming at any time. This is not just a right-wing media story. This is a real problem for the Bidens. Could he decide not to run for re-election given his son?
MICHAEL LAROSA: Look they make decisions as a family. And they will make that decision when it's time.
STELTER: Do you think they've talked about it yet?
LAROSA: No. The President’s doing his job. He’s doing his work. He's not focused on that. It's 19 months. Why would he be doing that?
STELTER: Okay so you’re saying the press is getting ahead of—
LAROSA: Way ahead, way ahead. Look there's more work to do. It's been 19 months. He intends to run like I said. But I think the focus should be from the press on how what he is doing is affecting people out in the country. Because these are things that Democrats have wanted to get done for a long time, and just over, in just a week, veterans, manufacturing, the unemployment rate, it's been remarkable to see a President rack up so many substantive wins as even your anchors have noted in the last year.
