On Wednesday, the House Oversight Committee grilled former Twitter executives over their censorship and suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story, with two of the executives even admitting it was a mistake to have suppressed the story and suspended the New York Post for publishing and posting it on their platform. Predictably the three broadcast networks ignored the story.
Instead of reporting on it, the three broadcast networks spent time covering local weather reports (ABC), and a school bus crashing into a daycare center in Canada (CBS) & (NBC).
Meanwhile, Fox News Channel’s Special Report had the story and led with it at the top of the broadcast.
Correspondent David Spunt noted the “fiery hearing lasting the majority of the day” and that “Democrats argue there is nothing there but Republicans believe something more sinister went on over the past few years involving Twitter and the FBI.”
“Front and center this New York Post cover from October 2020. Weeks before the election,” Spunt observed.
Special Report aired soundbites from Twitter executives Vijaya Gadde and Yoel Roth who both admitted the platform made a mistake in suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop story:
GADDE: In hindsight, Twitter should have reinstated the post account immediately.
ROTH: I’ll be the first to admit that we didn't always get it right.
“Also testifying, James Baker, the former Twitter Deputy General Counsel,” Spunt reported. “Before that he was the top lawyer at the FBI when the agency launched Crossfire Hurricane. The investigation into potential ties between Donald Trump and Russia.”
This is an important story with national political implications. As the Media Research Center has proven, the leftist media and Big Tech’s censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop and all his other alleged crimes helped elect Joe Biden.
Indeed, our poll showed that 4.6 percent of Biden voters would’ve cast their ballots for Donald Trump or sat out the election if they were aware of Hunter Biden’s corruption, possibly flipping close races. This is more than enough to have handed the election to Donald Trump.
This bias by omission from the three networks was made possible by ADT on ABC, United Healthcare on CBS, & Prevagen on NBC. Their information is linked.

FNC’s Special Report
2/8/2023
6:00:55 p.m. EasternBRET BAIER: House Republicans are taking a microscope to the Hunter Biden scandal. The oversight committee grilling former Twitter executives today about their censorship of the story in The New York Post which many in the GOP contended could have directly affected the 2020 election. The most pointed questions though aimed at the U.S. government influence into the censorship decisions. Correspondent David Spunt reports tonight from the Justice Department. Good evening, David.
DAVID SPUNT: Bret, good evening to you. A fiery hearing lasting the majority of the day. Democrats argue there is nothing there but Republicans believe something more sinister went on over the past few years involving Twitter and the FBI. And this was the chance for Republicans to make the case to the public.
REP LAUREN BOEBERT: We don't know where the FBI ends and Twitter begins.
SPUNT: Emotions running high.
REP. ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ: We are talking about Hunter Biden's half-fake laptop story. I mean, this is an embarrassment.
SPUNT: Front and center this New York Post cover from October 2020. Weeks before the election.
REP. JAMIE RASKIN: We return not to focus on advancing this robust agenda of progress but, instead, to take up an authentically trivial pursuit all based on the obsessive victimology of right-wing politics in America.
SPUNT: Former Twitter executives in the hot seat to answer allegations about suppressing that report.
VIJAYA GADDE (FORMER TWITTER CHIEF LEGAL OFFICER): In hindsight, Twitter should have reinstated the post account immediately.
YOEL ROTH (FORMER TWITTER TRUST & SAFETY HEAD): I’ll be the first to admit that we didn't always get it right.
SPUNT: Also testifying, James Baker, the former Twitter Deputy General Counsel. Before that he was the top lawyer at the FBI when the agency launched crossfire hurricane. The investigation into potential ties between Donald Trump and Russia.
JAMES BAKER (FORMER TWITTER DEPUTY GENERAL COUNSEL): I did not act unlawfully or otherwise inappropriately in any manner with respect to Hunter Biden's laptop.
SPUNT: Republicans say the relationship between Twitter and the FBI was far too cozy. Both agencies met quarterly.
