On Monday's Morning Joe, Mika Brzezinski claimed Elizabeth Warren has had her [liberal] message "from the get-go, her entire life, her whole life." That gibes nicely with Warren's campaign chatter. There's only one tiny problem: it seems that Warren was a registered Republican until . . . 1996, when Warren was 47 years old.
MIKA BRZEZINSKI: President Trump’s reelection team is reportedly turning its attention to Senator Warren. According to Politico, Trump’s team cites Warren’s disciplined style, populist-infused speeches, and perceived ability to win over suburban female voters for their concerns. Politico says that one campaign pollster has sounded the alarm internally, stressing that Warren's attacks on Trump in key states like Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada, threaten to undercut his support from the working-class voters who propelled him to the presidency.

So Sheila, she’s had a message from the get-go, she’s had a message her entire life, and I do believe that makes a difference, especially now when it’s the very voters who are being let down, let's put it that way, misled, let's put it that way safely, that Elizabeth Warren has been fighting for her whole life.
But according to this Politico article by Alex Thompson, one of her best friends from back in the day says Warren used to be "a diehard conservative."
The Politico article also contains this chuckle-worthy line: Warren "assumes the first time she registered as a Democrat was 1996, but added, 'I’m not even 100 percent sure what I was registered as.'"
Poor Liz: can't remember that she passed herself off as an Indian to Penn and Harvard, can't remember if she registered as a Republican. Well, you know what they say: life begins at 47.
