The MRC’s Tim Graham joined Newsmax TV on Tuesday night with host Steve Malzberg to elaborate on the MRC’s Notable Quotables Worst of the Worst 2015 winners, including overall winner Melissa Harris-Perry of MSNBC declaring on October 25 that the term “hard worker” has racist connotations.
Reacting to Harris-Perry taking first place as the worst quote from the liberal media in 2015, Graham simply stated that “[t]his is what happens when you put a radical leftist professor on television for two hours every Saturday and Sunday” to which Malzberg added that “[s]he’s a gift that keeps on giving.”
Highlighting some of the other winners earlier in the segment, winners included George Takei’s vicious, racist smear of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas along with ABC chief anchor and Clinton Foundation donor George Stephanopoulos hounding Clinton Cash author Peter Schweizer on April 26's This Week about how the many Hillary Clinton scandals are all unfounded.
Of course, this was not long before Stephanopoulos was exposed on May 14 as having donated $75,000 to the Clinton Foundation.
“Look, he [Stephanopoulos] — they are just playing complete defense lawyer, ‘not a shred of evidence’ and he uses those lawyerly words like there’s no sign of direct action — very Clinton-ish,” Graham opined.
Discussing the Obamagasm winner in former CBS News producer Dick Meyer, Graham predicted: “Imagine how many people in Washington and New York journalism, if you put that on Facebook, would click ‘like.’”
Slamming Bryant Gumbel for harping on his disdain in a Rolling Stone interview for the National Rifle Association (and winning the Damn Those Conservatives award), Malzberg pointed out that “probably 99 percent of the media feels the same way” as he does while Graham put forth the notion that Gumbel was being hypocritical for whining that the NRA are “pigs” and “a curse upon the American landscape” when the media deplores Donald Trump for bombastic and outrageous statments
