Two weeks ago, a radical liberal social justice organization bailed out a Muslim man who was arrested for beating his girlfriend and a week later he violently killed her with their kids in the house. This disturbing national story was ignored by the broadcast networks who were invested in protecting the Democratic Party’s criminal justice and bail “reform” efforts.
Instead of reporting on this heinous act enabled by their friends on the left, ABC’s World News Tonight, CBS Evening News, and NBC Nightly News all spent important time boasting about the CDC greenlighting Omicron boosters for COVID vaccines.
Putting a spotlight on the tragic story, Fox News Channel’s Special Report didn’t shy away. “An Oregon man who was out on bail after allegedly trying to strangle the mother of his children is back behind bars tonight charged with her murder,” anchor Bret Baier announced. “Prosecutors blame a Portland group for providing the suspect's bail money.”
As reported by correspondent Jonathan Hunt, the Portland Freedom Fund bailed out Mohammed Osman Adan who “had nine arrests on his record, six of those for domestic violence against the mother of his children: Rachel Angel Abraham.”
Hunt also noted that the purported mission of the Portland Freedom Fund was “reducing harms perpetuated against our black, brown, and indigenous neighbors by the criminal justice system through posting bail.” It’s unclear how that lines up with protecting Abrahams from the harms Adan allegedly perpetuated against her.
“On July 12th this year, he was charged with trying to strangle Abraham. On August 20th, the Portland Freedom Fund paid to bail him out of jail…” Hunt gave the timeline of events. “Last Saturday, exactly a week after he walked out of jail, prosecutors say Adan cut off his ankle bracelet and murdered Rachel Abraham. Repeatedly stabbing her and then strangling her to death in her home. Her three children all under eight [years old], just yards away.”
In a statement, Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt was “furious,” saying “Mr. Adan's intent to kill the victim was unambiguous.” And for their part, the Portland Freedom Fund shrugged and claimed no responsibility:
Our thoughts are with the families and communities affected by this tragedy, particularly the children, who have effectively lost both parents. We were in contact with Mr. Adan throughout the time between his release and re-arrest and did not receive any indications for concern.
“No concern until the man they bailed out allegedly murdered the woman he had already attacked six times,” Hunt chided the organization.
The disinterest of the networks was made possible because of lucrative sponsorships from Hyundai on ABC, Ancestry on CBS, and DIRECTV on NBC. Their contact information is linked.

JONATHAN HUNT: Mohammed Osman Adan had nine arrests on his record, six of those for domestic violence against the mother of his children: Rachel Angel Abraham.
On July 12th this year, he was charged with trying to strangle Abraham. On August 20th, the Portland Freedom Fund paid to bail him out of jail as part of its mission which it describes as, quote, “reducing harms perpetuated against our black, brown, and indigenous neighbors by the criminal justice system through posting bail.”
Adan was eligible for release because, according to the Multnomah County DA's office, his prior offenses, quote, “Did not meet the court's criteria for him to be held without bail.”
Last Saturday, exactly a week after he walked out of jail, prosecutors say Adan cut off his ankle bracelet and murdered Rachel Abraham. Repeatedly stabbing her and then strangling her to death in her home. Her three children all under eight [years old], just yards away. Adan was quickly arrested and charged with murder. Prosecutors furious that the Portland Freedom Fund had bailed out a man with such a long record of domestic violence.
The Multnomah County district attorney saying, quote, “Mr. Adan's intent to kill the victim was unambiguous.” The Freedom Fund said in a statement after the murder, quote, “Our thoughts are with the families and communities affected by this tragedy, particularly the children, who have effectively lost both parents. We were in contact with Mr. Adan throughout the time between his release and re-arrest and did not receive any indications for concern.”
