As NewsBusters has been reporting, the media reaction to President Obama's speech at the Democratic National Convention Thursday has not been anywhere near as gushing as expected.
On CNN, Piers Morgan said, "It may be that both presidential candidates’ wives made better speeches than they did.”
Shortly after a special edition of Piers Morgan Tonight began, the host said, “Let’s just talk about I think the unparalleled situation where it may be that both presidential candidates’ wives made better speeches than they did.”
Gloria Borger asked, “Are you surprised?”
“Gloria, I’m not being sexist,” Morgan replied. “Has this ever happened before, John? You’ve seen most of them over the last hundred years.”
That liberal media members would think Ann Romney did better than Mitt is one thing.
But Michelle outperforming The One?
