Politico's Evan Thomas went where few journalists dare on Friday.
Appearing on PBS's Inside Washington, the former Newsweek editor called Barack Obama "dishonest" and said he was guilty of commiting a "huge act of hypocrisy" (video follows with transcript and absolutely no need for additional commentary):
EVAN THOMAS, POLITICO: If President Obama, I was really struck by what he said that, you know, all politicians are just worrying about the next election and not the next generation. Huge act of hypocrisy on his part. If he really believed that, he would get off his duff and start talking to the other side, talk more to Congressmen, actually be a president, not just sit back, and he would be honest with the American people about the hard things you actually have to do to protect future generations. He’s been completely dishonest about that.
