Within hours of the announcement that CNN's documentary about Hillary Clinton was being canceled, NBC followed suit.
The Hollywood Reporter revealed within the hour that NBC has canceled its mini-series about the former First Lady turned Senator and Secretary of State:
“After reviewing and prioritizing our slate of movie/mini-series development, we’ve decided that we will no longer continue developing the Hillary Clinton miniseries,” the network said in a statement Monday.
Is it a coincidence that both of these projects from different networks were canceled on the same day?
Not likely.
As I observed in August when three liberal commentators at MSNBC all expressed concern about the NBC mini-series within hours of each other, I smell a rat.
The Clintons have been doing a media barrage in the past week with a lengthy puff-piece about her at New York magazine and him appearing on numerous TV programs to talk about - what else? - himself and his wife.
As such, if you think CNN and NBC canceling these projects on the same day and so proximate to this media barrage is a coincidence, I've got some waterfront property for sale in Florida.
The Clintons didn't want these programs aired for fear they would present material that could be harmful to her election, and whatever they want from their devoted media normally ends up coming to fruition.
