Serious Rat Smell: NBC Cancels Hillary Clinton Mini-Series

Within hours of the announcement that CNN's documentary about Hillary Clinton was being canceled, NBC followed suit. The Hollywood Reporter revealed within the hour that NBC has canceled its mini-series about the former First Lady turned Senator and Secretary of State:

Within hours of the Republican National Committee voting not to participate in presidential debates on CNN and NBC if those networks proceeded with plans to air programs about Hillary Clinton, one outlet appears to be caving. NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt issued the following statement to Deadline Friday:

As NewsBusters has been reporting, the media are now in a full court press to get Hillary Clinton elected president in 2016. Apart from a new biopic set to be released in the middle of the campaign season, it was announced Saturday that NBC has purchased the rights to a four-hour miniseries about the former first lady starring Diane Lane.
