The “stripper with a heart of gold” storyline can be compelling, but it does require some evidence that the stripper actually has a heart.

On Sunday morning’s Meet the Press, anchor Chuck Todd and his panelists were clearly concerned about some recent polling that shows voters under 35 years old, and Hispanic voters are starting to “peel away” from Joe Biden and the Democrat Party which is disastrous news for congressional Democrats this November. 

On Morning Joe, looking at the plight of Democrats heading into the 2022 midterms, Joe Scarborough scolds woke white Democrats in DC, telling them that they are losing minority voters because black, Hispanic, and Asian-Americans are more conservative than they are.

After spending the previous segment celebrating Senate Democrats’ successful confirmation of Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court, the NBC Meet the Press panel eventually turned to despair when they realized this might be the last legislative success of the Biden administration before the midterms (and if Republicans take control of Congress the last period).

On Wednesday, The Right Scoop reported on MSNBC anchor Chuck Todd fretting that Democrats were headed for massive electoral defeat: “Todd says that Democrats are in for a shellacking at the midterms later this year because of a new poll they’ve taken on the direction of the country.”

During the panel segment on NBC’s Meet the Press, host Chuck Todd openly panicked over the Republican Party’s lead in his network’s poll of the generic congressional ballot, calling it a “huge red flag”, and remarked how the GOP hasn’t led in NBC’s generic congressional ballot poll since September 2014. 

I just received a fundraising email from Nancy Pelosi's PAC headlined "CNN just admitted" claiming Marco Rubio was in political danger. CNN "just revealed he's "in danger of losing." But nobody on CNN "just revealed" such a thing. The last poll has Rubio up 12. It turns out it's a CNN.com list from seven weeks ago on CNN.com that said Rubio "starts as the favorite." 

During a segment on the first day of congressional hearings on the nomination for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court, MSNBC's The 11th Hour host Stephanie Ruhle was clearly frustrated by Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) broadcasting his questions Jackson regarding her history of giving those convicted of viewing or distributing child porn light sentences.

Monday morning prior to the start of Senate confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson, ABC, CBS, and NBC shoveled White House talking points that reveled over Jackson’s “historic nomination” and the “legal and political gauntlet” ahead and fretted Republicans are ready to “attack” with “fireworks” that could trigger “a political bounce” for President Biden.

On her MSNBC show early Wednesday afternoon, host Andrea Mitchell hoped that the war in Ukraine “at least is helping the Democrats” politically heading into the midterm elections. Washington Post deputy national editor Phil Rucker agreed with her partisan assessment and touted how President Biden was trying to falsely use the conflict as a “scapegoat” for high gas prices.

On Monday’s MTP Daily, fill-in co-host Garrett Haake and a panel of liberal pundits lamented that President Biden was not seeing a “Zelenskyy bounce” in the polls for his handling of the war Ukraine. For some reason they thought the overwhelming popularity of the heroic Ukrainian leader, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, should transfer to Biden.

During interviews with Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday, both CBS Mornings and ABC’s Good Morning America questioned the Democrat from the left while discussing President Biden’s State of the Union address.
