At the request of readers, The Washington Post finally analyzed late-night ABC host Jimmy Kimmel’s latest toddler-toting tirade against Republicans, which occurred on his Monday show. Glenn Kessler, the Post’s resident “fact-checker” took him to task on his column December 13, and shot down Kimmel’s hyper-partisan claims about the Republican tax bill, as false.

While covering President Trump making a “final pitch” for the Republican tax bill, on Monday’s NBC Today, correspondent Peter Alexander declared that the legislative push came “despite criticism it benefits the wealthy more than the middle class.” He even promoted a social media video of a Democratic Party activist calling on Republicans to reject the plan.

In its desperation to avoid any discussion of a potential major legislative win for the Trump administration and congressional Republicans, Monday’s NBC Today devoted an astonishing 15 times more coverage to the morning show’s fired co-host Billy Bush attacking President Trump in a New York Times op/ed than to the GOP tax bill working its way through Congress. 

While liberals made many different objections to the GOP’s latest tax reform plan, one former Obama and Clinton administration economist claims the plan will literally kill. Economist Larry Summers told CNBC viewers the Republican tax bill “would result in 10,000 extra deaths per year.” He appeared on CNBC Squawk Box on Dec. 4, to discuss the Republican tax bill.

Why does the tax bill promoted by the President and Republicans have low polling support? Maybe because journalists are constantly trashing it. On CBS This Morning, Monday, analyst Jill Schlesinger declared, “I think it's becoming clear that [the tax bill is] very much tilted toward corporations and the wealthiest Americans.” 

Are tax cuts anti-God? New York Times religion reporter Laurie Goodstein again celebrated a protest movement by the religious left (while chiding the religious right) in “50 Years Later, New Push to Magnify Plight of Poor.” The text box: “A plan to mount large protests on 40 consecutive days," keyed to the new tax bill that in Goodstein's words, "mainly benefits corporations and the rich."

Another day, another left-wing report hammering the Republican tax plan on the front page of the New York Times, this time in the lead section on Sunday. Kate Zernike and Alan Rappeport penned one of a pair of lead stories on the Republican’s passing their tax plan in the Senate, under a headline that didn't even nod toward objectivity: “Next Objective: Cutting the Safety Net.”
