The partisan journalists at CBS This Morning on Monday gushed over a new Obama administration book, touting its “real talk” and encouraging ex-staffer Alyssa Mastromonaco to lash out at Donald Trump. In contrast, this same network questioned the loyalty of ex-Secretary of Defense Bob Gates after he wrote a book criticizing Barack Obama. 

He may be gone, but no one on CBS has forgotten “teacher” Barack Obama and his ability to “make people understand.” On Thursday, the journalists at CBS This Morning and liberal actor Jesse Williams previewed a Smithsonian documentary on the former President, complete with the excessive fawning over the Democrat.

During a discussion with New-York Presbyterian Hospital CEO Dr. Steven Corwin on Tuesday’s CBS This Morning, co-hosts Charlie Rose, Norah O’Donnell, and Gayle King all accepted his call for more government involvement in the health care industry and fretted that not enough Americans were being forced to purchase medical insurance.

The broadcast networks morning and evening newscasts, along with the cable news networks, have largely ignored the Tuesday report from Axios's Mike Allen that Hillary Clinton's campaign team blames President Obama for her loss in the 2016 election. Wednesday's CBS This Morning turned to liberal attorney David Boies for his take on President Trump's nomination of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court. However, the newscast failed to provide balance by bringing on a conservative legal expert. Boies twice asserted that Gorsuch was "not in...the mainstream of judicial thought." Anchor Norah O'Donnell later gushed over the "so smart" guest.

The journalists at CBS This Morning on Monday obsessed over Donald Trump’s new order restricting refugees from Muslim-majority countries. Co-host Norah O’Donnell wondered if the administration was being too pro-Christian with this move. Additionally, co-host Charlie Rose used anti-Trump press coverage as justification that the implementation is going badly. 

On Monday, all three network morning shows eagerly promoted the liberal group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) filing a lawsuit against President Trump and accusing him of “violating the Constitution.” At the top of NBC’s Today, co-host Matt Lauer proclaimed: “Defendant-in-chief. In back-to-back interviews with Donald Trump spokesman Sean Spicer on Monday, CBS This Morning and NBC’s Today grilled the incoming White House press secretary over the President-elect getting into a “battle” with “civil rights icon” John Lewis after the Democratic Congressman questioned the legitimacy of the election.

The broadcast news networks barely even mentioned the latest significant overhaul of U.S. policy by the Obama Administration. For weeks, the liberal media have celebrated all that Barack Obama means...to them. CNN produced a two-hour documentary on the Obama legacy that never mentioned things like annual trillion-dollar deficits. Fareed Zakaria wrapped up the show: “He ran an administration that was largely scandal-free and did it all the while under a microscope. Because he looked different.”

Fresh off her glowing column on Sunday polishing First Lady Michelle Obama’s apple, author and New York Times correspondent Jodi Kantor appeared on Monday’s CBS This Morning to similarly praise President Obama for being “a big believer in taking a kind of above the fray, unifying, nonpartisan tone.”
