Fact-checking fact-checkers

A fact-checking website may not even be able to properly check the facts in its own articles when the facts don’t line up with its narrative. FactCheck.org, which  partners with Facebook to fact-check articles and social media posts, has not corrected a January article that provides incorrect information regarding the number of COVID-19 cases and deaths in China.

On Tuesday, the “fact checkers” at Snopes ardently defended Gov. Andrew Cuomo by attacking an accurate tweet as "Mostly False." The headline was: "Did Gov. Cuomo Say It Was ‘Bad News’ Pfizer Vaccine Progress Came Under Trump?" The correct answer is Yes.

New member of the Daily Wire, Candace Owens, announced that she has filed a lawsuit against Facebook fact-checkers Lead Stories and USA Today for censoring American’s free speech. Owens has hinted at the possibility of a lawsuit ever since her opinions began getting fact-checked, which led to her Facebook page being demonetized in August.

With a week to go before Election Day, the New York Times is playing aggressive defense for the Democrats, suggesting any mention of socialism is a dangerous lie while dismissing predictions and rhetoric by President Trump as “lies.” Democrats are being responsible and issue-oriented (and praised even when attacking their party leadership), while the GOP is fear-mongering.

Republicans are pulling out their hair again as PolitiFact uncorked another one of those strange rulings on Monday where they say the facts are "accurate" but it's still "Mostly False." Because they are not "fact checkers" as much as "context checkers," and they don't like Democrats being taken out of context. Even the abortion-worshipping mainstream media isn’t so delusional as to think that the Biden-Harris presidential ticket’s stance on abortion is a good look for your average American voter.

CNN's Brian Stelter accurately reflected the liberal arrogance that Biden's speech must have been "largely accurate," but there were some obvious red flags in this speech that a truly objective fact watchdog should have evaluated as something less than accurate, and often False.
