Now that the Democratic ticket has been set and the (virtual) convention is about to launch, it's a good time to evaluate how tilted The Washington Post "Fact Checker" is when it comes to not just Trump and Biden, but to all Republicans and all Democrats. Voting expert Hans von Spakovsky of the Heritage Foundation took on Washington Post “fact checker” Glenn Kessler after he awarded “Four Pinocchios” to Vice President Mike Pence. The veep told Martha McCallum on Fox News that voter fraud is “real,” which unfortunately has to be said when the liberal media suggests routinely it’s almost nonexistent. 

Matt Palumbo at Bongino.com took issue with the extremely biased nature of PolitiFact's "Truth-O-Meter" in assessing "facts." The controversy? This week, President Trump signed an executive order to prevent illegal immigrants from being counted for the purposes of re-apportioning congressional districts after the 2020 census.

Vice President Mike Pence drew a "Mostly False" recently from PolitiFact for telling a Philadelphia gathering of police officers that "Joe Biden said that well-armed police, in his words, ‘become the enemy’ and he said that he would ‘absolutely cut funding for law enforcement.’" He quoted Biden accurately, but PolitiFact ruled "Mostly False."

Snopes.com felt compelled to fact check the question "Did a 'convicted terrorist' sit on the board of a BLM funding body?" The answer is yes, Susan Rosenberg, convicted of being caught with 740 pounds of explosives and an Uzi, is on the board of a Black Lives Matter funder. But Snopes says the word "terrorist" is not well-defined.

A new Media Research Study of PolitiFact "Truth-O-Meter" ratings for 2019 and the first half of 2020 shows a dramatic tilt against the Republicans. Donald Trump was tagged as "Mostly False" or worse in 132, articles, compared to Joe Biden's 23. Trump was slammed as "Pants on Fire" in 37 articles, compared to just one for Biden.

On Wednesday's New Day show, CNN analyst John Avlon delivered a "Reality Check" to allegedly fact check Fox News host Tucker Carlson. But the segment actually spread misinformation by replaying Illinois Democratic Senator Tammy Duckworth's false claims about President Donald Trump's speech at Mt. Rushmore.

Apparently, if you don’t like certain facts, you can just declare them false. That seems to be the thinking behind a USA Today “fact check” pretending that Democrats didn’t start the Civil War and found the KKK. But, they did. How biased are the liberal "fact checkers" at PolitiFact? They threw no "False" flags at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for suggesting Republicans were "trying to get away with murder....the murder of George Floyd." But Pelosi was granted a "Mostly True" for citing polling support for so-called "Dreamers."

“Independent fact checkers” can easily be mistaken for Democrats who don’t want you to remember Democrat History. USA Today though a “False” flag at a Facebook meme that the longest filibuster in American history was the Democrats blocking the Civil Rights Act in 1964. "Partly False," cried the newspaper, since it was only southern Democrats who filibustered! 

On Tuesday, PolitiFact demonstrated that Joe Biden now has his own "very fine people" misquotation. He never said "Antifa are courageous Americans." But he did misquote Trump on "very fine people" in the same video! And PolitiFact carefully avoided it....then and now. 

The Washington Post is promoting a new election-year tome from the "Fact Checker squad at the Post -- their chief Glenn Kessler and his lieutenants Salvador Rizzo and Meg Kelly. The title is Donald Trump and His Assault on Truth: The President's Falsehoods, Misleading Claims, and Flat-Out Lies.

PolitiFact keeps doing “fact checks” against conservatives that acknowledge that they’re using facts, but they’re still False because – well, they don’t like the way those facts are assembled. These factual facts aren’t making the right point. They’re “too narrow.”

AP's "Fact Check" team obsessively challenges the statements of President Trump, almost to the exclusion of other people in national politics. But are they checking facts, or opinions? On Saturday, they claimed Trump "stretched the facts or shredding them as he tried to make the best of a U.S. death toll surpassing 100,000 from the coronavirus" and other issues.
