NBC Chairman Bob Greenblatt slammed presidential candidate Donald Trump, calling him "toxic" and "demented," after his network spend more than a decade building his image. In a Facebook post he later deleted, Greenblatt lamented the “sad state of affairs” created by “pompous businessman turned reality TV star” Donald Trump.

Within hours of the Republican National Committee voting not to participate in presidential debates on CNN and NBC if those networks proceeded with plans to air programs about Hillary Clinton, one outlet appears to be caving. NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt issued the following statement to Deadline Friday:

"At this point in our business, flat is the new up.” So said NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt at the Television Critics Association's summer tour Saturday regarding his network's poor ratings.
