Within hours of the Republican National Committee voting not to participate in presidential debates on CNN and NBC if those networks proceeded with plans to air programs about Hillary Clinton, one outlet appears to be caving.
NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt issued the following statement to Deadline Friday:
“The Hillary Clinton movie has not been ordered to production, only a script is being written at this time. It is ‘in development’, the first stage of any television series or movie, many of which never go to production. Speculation, demands, and declarations pertaining to something that isn’t created or produced yet seem premature.”
It was also announced Friday that Fox TV Studios would not be producing the miniseries.
Are the wheels beginning to fall off this project, and if so, is it because the Clintons don't want either of these shows to go forward for fear they might harm Hillary some way?
Stay tuned.
