CNN spent hours on Thursday morning with a screen graphic reading "TRUMP UNLEASHES FLURRY OF LIES AFTER MUELLER STATEMENT." At the top of the 11 AM hour, standing in front of large letters that said "TRUMP ERUPTS," anchor Kate Boludan proclaimed "The president spoke and said a lot. And in doing so, he denied reality. and I don't say this flippantly. He lied."

On Wednesday's New Day on CNN, after John Avlon recited a piece attacking the Donald Trump administration's reaction to alarmist global warming predictions, co-host John Berman likened Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to the villain Lex Luthor, who infamously planned to mass murder Americans on the West Coast so he could benefit financially, in the 1978 film Superman.

On Wednesday's New Day on CNN, the show was fixated on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell commenting last night that he would work to fill a hypothetical U.S. Supreme Court vacancy if one occurred in 2020, as hosts John Berman and Alisyn Camerota brought up the issue repeatedly across all three hours of the show. CNN saw nothing wrong with using a tragedy to peddle a Democrat's controversial policy plan, on New Day, Thursday. Senior political analyst John Avlon eagerly touted 2020 candidate, Senator Cory Booker’s vast gun-grabbing proposal, calling it a “bold” plan where even “thoughts and prayers can’t seem to help.”

It should be an obvious concept that during a New Day segment called a “Reality Check,” the reporter should make sure that the information is complete and accurate. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case on Monday morning, when CNN Senior Political Analyst John Avlon went out of his way in an attempt to connect the terrorist shooting in New Zealand last Friday with President Trump.

Even if a shooting happens in another country, the anti-Trump media here at home are quick to put the blame entirely on President Trump.
