Question for Telemundo News: Where was correspondent Cristina Londoño during the Democrats’ impeachment proceedings last December? Given her apparent state of shock about the Senate impeachment procedures, it seems she went off to Lala Land during the House impeachment of President Donald Trump.

CRISTINA LONDOÑO: The Democrats are already furious because they say this is a cover-up on the part of Republicans

And they're also further infuriated that the witness debate comes after all the arguments have been put forward and that they're going to be behind closed doors
The report, that only discussed the reactions of Democrats – they were FURIOUS! – left out any reference at all about how the members of the House of Representatives, led by speaker Nancy Pelosi, pulled out every set of tricks in the book to impede Republicans from getting fair treatment.
The words “cover-up”, “closed-doors”, “sleepless nights” could very well describe what went on in Congress last November and December under the command of Pelosi and Representative Adam Schiff.
To illustrate how Telemundo has already judged the President, regardless of the “fairness” of the rules, the report featured two telling clips:
One was from Donald Trump- who “has not stopped expressing his fury against his rivals and the process he faces”- stating that “By these radical left lunatics, I get impeached.”
The second one featuring Rep. Jerry Nadler, as he claimed that “There is ample evidence, overwhelming evidence. Any jury would convict him in three minutes flat.”
The extent of Telemundo’s unseriousness about the very serious impeachment procedures going on in Congress became evident when Lori Montenegro, News Director at Telemundo in Washington, added (regarding whether the trial would offer the public “fireworks”): “It's not going to be all that good because no one can expect that there will be screaming or anything like that.”
Luckily for Telemundo, there is no jury to convict them for subjective, biased and editorialized “news” reporting to an audience whose intellect they blatantly disregard.

JULIO VAQUEIRO: We go to the city of Washington. At this hour, the rules of the trial against President Donald Trump are already known. Cristina Londoño is in the capital of the country. Cristina, tell us, good afternoon, you were already able to see the resolution with these details.
CRISTINA LODOÑO: That's right Julio, look here I have the resolution. They talk about marathon sleepless nights. The opening arguments on both sides would begin Wednesday at 1:00 PM and both sides would have 24 hours to present their arguments in two days. We add it up. What does it mean? That they you going to have the presentation of arguments at 1, 2, 3 or 4 in the morning? And the Democrats are already furious because they say this is a cover-up on the part of Republicans who don't want the American people to see the evidence against the president. And they're also further infuriated that the witness debate comes after all the arguments have been put forward and that they're going to be behind closed doors and then they're going to decide whether to include them. That's the Republicans' response. The vote on these rules is tomorrow. Democrats are obviously going to try to go against the vote, but Republicans have a majority.
Today there was no rest for Democrat prosecutors who will run the case against President Trump. The seven toured their new Senate offices where from tomorrow they will fight to dismiss the President, who has not stopped expressing his fury against his rivals and the process he faces.
DONALD TRUMP: By these radical left lunatics, I get impeached.
LONDOÑO: Today in this document, the president's defense outlined their case, calling the impeachment illegitimate nonsense, with flawed charges based on presumptions, second- and third-hand information, and calling the charge of obstruction justice frivolous and dangerous. While they assert that Trump should be acquitted quickly, Democrats fight for the opposite.
JERRY NADLER: There is ample evidence, overwhelming evidence any jury would convict him in three minutes flat.
LONDOÑO: Neither easy nor fast says Lori Montenegro, News Director at Telemundo in Washington. Lori covered Bill Clinton's impeachment 20 years ago. From experience she thinks there will be no fireworks.
LORI MONTENEGRO: It's not going to be all that good because no one can expect that there will be screaming or anything like that. Senators have very specific instructions and can't speak.
LONDOÑO: The toughest fight expected to unravel tomorrow is whether or not new documents and witnesses will be included as the Democrats demand. And while there might be surprises, and it is the same conclusion of two decades ago, Lori does not expect triumphalism.
MONTENEGRO: No matter if they were in favor of Clinton being dismissed or if they were there to support President Clinton, everyone felt great sadness and you could see it in their faces.
