Jorge Ramos Calls Trump a 'Fascist' Who Must Be 'Strongly Rejected'

Asked by Spanish newspaper El País on whether he prefers either the newly elected conservative President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, or President Trump, Univision news anchor Jorge Ramos did not hesitate to slam the two equally.

The leading liberal activist-anchor in U.S. Spanish-language media called both Trump and Bolsonaro “fascists” who must be “strongly rejected.”

JORGE RAMOS, SENIOR NEWS ANCHOR, UNIVISION: Neither of the two. I believe they should both be strongly rejected. We're faced with two fascists and in Trump's case, a worldwide bully.

Ramos’s latest insult to the U.S. President is in keeping with the journalistic jihad he has espoused in covering the Trump administration, a radical stance that notably has even taken aback personalities such as CNN’s Brian Stelter and MSNBC’s Katy Tur.

In his anti-Trump partisanship, Ramos has maligned and alienated millions of Hispanic voters who helped elect Trump to the presidency in 2016, and sparked a backlash against the network in whose anchor chair he has sat for over 30 years.
