Comcast-NBC affiliate Telemundo does whatever they can to preserve the mothership’s perfect Corporate Equality Index score. This includes blatantly promoting the trans agenda, such as is the case in this report from the network’s weekend newscast.
Watch as correspondent Solangie Sosa unquestioningly parrots trans activist language while profiling a transgender student (born female) who opposes a new Florida rule that would compel college students to use the bathroom corresponding to their actual biological anatomy:
SOLANGIE SOSA: It's heartbreaking, says Kaily Lachapelle, a transgender student from Florida. Kaily was assigned the female gender at birth but identifies as male, likewise those around him identify him as male.
Kaily explains that he is currently undergoing his gender transition process, and he believes that his presence in the women's restrooms would only cause discomfort for his (female) university classmates, (and) trauma for him.
LACHAPELLE: The first reaction is, like, terrified…
SOSA: And terrified of becoming a target of people who are against the LGBTQ communities.
The report ran for 2 minutes and 12 seconds, but only provided 17 seconds to a supporter of the rule. The rest of the interviews were with opponents of the rule, and as you can see from the clip above, the report veered off of actual journalism and into outright trans advocacy.
The most unintentionally funny moment of the report is the moment, towards the end of the featured clip, where the correspondent flushes a toilet as filler video. This very neatly encapsulated the seriousness this report should be accorded.
Telemundo proves once again that Spanish-language news programming increasingly prioritizes indoctrination over information. Viewers deserve an alternative.

JOANNA SUAREZ: In Florida, they approved new rules with strict disciplinary procedures for university students and staff who violate the new state law that regulates the use of the bathroom for transgender people. Solangie Sosa explains this to us.
SOLANGIE SOSA: The Florida Board of Education has voted to allow state colleges to fire transgender employees if they use a bathroom other than the one assigned for their sex at birth for a second time.
The approved restrictions also reach transgender students of those educational institutions who may receive verbal and written reprimands, and suspensions.
ALEXANDER BORELL: It's going to be a war, OK? And many people will be against it and many in favor.
SOSA: Beginning April 1, 2024, anyone may file a complaint with the Attorney General if they feel that a school, college, or state agency does not meet the minimum requirements for restrooms and facility changes required by law.
According to Alexander Borell, attorney and member of the educational board, this would then be in the hands of the teachers and professors, that is, to denounce students or employees.
BORELL: Because they are also supposed to report what is happening. They're just not teachers. They're cops, too.

SOSA: Zachary Levy is also a college student. He says that each person should use the bathroom that corresponds to them biologically.
LEVY: People can dress however they want but at the end of the day, it all comes down to acknowledging reality and truth.
