Taxpayer-funded PBS is using your hard-earned money to present unbalanced news coverage of minimum wage hike ballot initiatives facing voters in a handful of states.
Former Business & Media Institute intern Rachel Waters took at look at the October 27 "Now with David Brancaccio."
Among other things she found two typical tricks of the trade for agenda-driven economic journalism:
- Present a human side to the story that plays up an individual's "victim" status in the economy
- Fail to include any conservative or free market-oriented economists to criticize the liberal answer to the real or imagined problem: more government regulation of the economy
