View’ co-host Meghan McCain ruffled feathers on Wednesday’s show by bringing up a topic unrelated to GOP bashing. Her co-hosts were talking endlessly about Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney being ousted from her leadership role. It has been an obsessive topic from the liberal media the past two weeks to distract from troubles the Biden administration is facing, such as the historically bad border crisis that continues to get worse.
Nearly seventeen minutes into the show and after one commercial break, the liberal co-hosts were still discussing Cheney, now salivating over the idea that Republicans like herself should break off to form a third party. But Meghan McCain shot down this notion, suggesting they discuss the gas shortage that is wrecking the East Coast, because that is something average Americans actually care about:
WHOOPI GOLDBERG: That's the question I really want to hit everybody with. Because I wonder, do you think that she has, Liz Cheney has the position and power to begin a third party? I'll start with you, Meghan.
MEGHAN MCCAIN: I don't think so….What I do know average Americans care about is that today a gallon of gas, average price is $3.01. Last year it was $1.85. What Americans care about are some of these things, that are finally hitting home, meat and potatoes, easy things for people to understand. I just saw a tweet, that we had to put an alert out telling people--
Her co-hosts were so miffed at McCain's audacity of bringing up a criticism of the Biden administration when they were trying to bash the GOP, that they tried to interrupt, repeatedly:
JOY BEHAR: [trying to interrupt]
MCCAIN: not to fill plastic bags up with gas.
BEHAR: That was--
MCCAIN: We have a gas shortage in America. It’s like the ‘70s and the Carter administration again--
WHOOPI GOLDBERG: Yeah. So let’s, let’s--Let's talk about that. Because it’s come up now.
BEHAR: That was a cyber attack.
WHOOPI GOLDBERG: Yeah, that's the conversation.
Whoopi Goldberg went on to bash Florida governor Ron DeSantis saying it’s “President Biden’s problem to fix.” Here’s what he actually said in the clip they played:
DESANTIS: The Biden administration needs to take this seriously. Their initial response is, oh this is a private pipeline and just shrug your shoulders. This is important infrastructure for our country and could impact our economy greatly if they don't respond.
“You know, it's not. It's a privately held company. Let's start with that!” Whoopi ranted. After playing the clip she continued scoffing at Republicans, claiming this was a private company issue, not Biden’s problem:
GOLDBERG: So you know, [chuckles’ I just want to point out four years they knew we had an issue with cyber security. This has been going on, this is how they got emails and all this stuff. Suddenly this is Biden's problem on a private company which everybody else says when we're talking about private companies let them do--they’re a private company, let them do what they're going to do! So I don't know. [scoffs] We'll be right back. Sorry. [cuts to commercial]

Florida governor Ron Desantis said it's president Biden's problem to fix. You know, it's not. It's a privately held company. Let's start with that.
DESANTIS: This pipeline doesn't touch Florida. It does feed into many of our gas stations. We declared a state of emergency. We're lifting restrictions to get more fuel into pumps.The Biden administration needs to take this seriously. Their initial response is, oh this is a private pipeline and just shrug your shoulders. This is important infrastructure for our country and could impact our economy greatly if they don't respond.
