Monday’s Morning Joe served as yet another three hour-long rant about the upcoming midterms, anti-Republican rhetoric, and jokes amongst liberal hyenas about how those in opposition to them are "conspiracy theorists," "freaks," and "weirdos." Throw in a nauseating defense of Kamala Harris and it was tire fire that would be offensive to tire fires. Of course, the proceedings were led by co-host and so-called conservative Joe Scarborough.
At the onset, he made fun of right-wing Americans, those who write for Fox News Digital, and write stories critical of his dear Kamala: “’oh my God, another Kamala Harris story this is great guys look at this, I love this. This proves that I am superior as a white man in my mother’s basement at 44, oh more insults on Kamala Harris.”
The bitter former Florida political further debased himself by taking aim at someone far more successful in Sunshine State politics, Governor Ron DeSantis (R), starting with a claim that Kamala beats him in “head-to-head polls” (as if it were a strong indication of how an election over two years away would go). Taking aim at DeSantis supporters, Scarborough the comedian clowned, “’oh he’s going to win, he — Ron DeSantis, he’s strong, heh, heh, Ron DeSantis, he really showed the press, oh he really — he really showed the teachers, oh he’s banning books now he’s really — showing people who like the First Ame[ndment].’” And he thinks the GOP is made up of clowns.
“And if there's anything to define what the Republican Party is right now,” the former Republican congressman added, before bashing the GOP for protecting unborn babies using “forced births for rape and incest victims” as examples for his pro-choice stance. “Forced births,” a term used for innocent human beings who aren’t wanted or worth the nine-month wait to give up for adoption.
He then bloviated about how Republicans allow “deranged 18- year-olds to buy military weapons of war” and, of course, brought up January 6, saying that even with an administration who is putting financial stress on Americans, the voters will still not trust Republicans.
“These guys are wackos and insurrectionists and freaks, I’m certainly not going to trust them to run the country,” declared Scarborough, adding that even with a 33 percent approval rating, Biden still beats Trump in “a head-to-head” approval rating match-up.
Scarborough went as far to say that unpopular Vice President Kamala Harris beats Ron DeSantis “in one poll after another” despite her constantly getting bad press. It’s funny because most of this bad press comes from Way Too Early host Jonathan Lemire's own Politico, where he holds the title of White House bureau chief. His colleagues have trashed the Vice President frequently and even told the public how difficult she is to work with.
Politico's Lemire had a long take on these subjects and also to compliment Scarborough so as to assuage his ego. First, he praised Scarborough's foolish impersonations before making the observation that Democrats have a “sense of eternal gratitude to Joe Biden for defeating Donald Trump in 2020 but thinking perhaps he is not the right guy to now defeat Trumpism.” Because “Trumpism” is the main concern for Americans right now, not their unnecessary financial stress.
Lemire then claimed the Republicans “seem out of step,” and voters will see that in November despite there being supposed frustration caused by the SCOTUS decisions, the January 6 hearings, and other matters far from Americans’ minds right now such as the pandemic. In terms of blame, Lemire absolved his friends in the Biden administration (click "expand"):
So, right now, it’s a question of personality perhaps, a question of “we’re just not sure if we like how this White House is doing things,” although to be fair, so many of the challenges on the White House’s plate are out of their control. Things like global inflation and the Supreme Court of which they have no say over. But, they’re still better on the issues for most Americans than Republicans, so that’s what Democrats have said all along. That though, even though they know this Midterms environment is challenging, but when voters go into the ballot box and they see the list of choices on the Republican side, when they see the potential candidates they’re going to field in 2024, they might stay with the Dems, Joe Biden himself is fond of the saying “don’t choose between me and the Almighty, choose between me and the alternative.”
This prompted Joe to talk about the “crazy” Republican Senate candidates:
They are conspiracy theorists, they’re weirdos, they’re freaks, they’re — they're, you know, they’re the most unelectable and yet, they've risen to the top in each of these Republican Primaries. I know that Mitch McConnell has to be pulling his hair out because this should be easy. Republicans are making it a lot harder than it should be in 2022.

JOE SCARBOROUGH: This reminds me every day, and I talked about this a couple weeks ago. Every day, Kamala Harris gets negative headlines. Not just from Fox News, at which by the way, every day on their website it’s just like-- it’s like catnip I guess for people on the Trump right, all of these Kamala Harris stories. “Kamala Harris d-- do-- doesn’t polish one of her fingernails everyday how could she be Vice President of the-- Kamala Harris-- oh my God!” And—and every day, catnip, catnip. People like “oh my God, another Kamala Harris story this is great guys look at this,”
MIKA BRZEZINSKI: [laughing]
SCARBOROUGH: “I love this. This proves that I am superior as a white man in my mother’s basement at 44, oh more insults on Kamala Harris.” It’s all they do right? And so you’re sayi-- going, you think to yourself, could anybody be as unpopular as Vice President of the United States as Kamala Harris, ever in the history of the Republic? And then you look at, oh, at the head-to-head match-up with Ron DeSantis, the great white hope. The guy that we hear every day oh, from the right--
BRZEZINSKI: Mr. Florida man.
SCARBOROUGH: Florida man, from the right, “oh he’s going to win, he-- Ron DeSantis, he’s strong, [inaudible gibberish] Ron DeSantis, he really showed the press, oh he really-- he really showed the teachers, oh he’s banning books now he’s really—
BRZEZINSKI: Dumb-dumb.
SCARBOROUGH: showing people who like the First Ame--,” and we hear that Ron DeSantis, like the left is scared of him, the right adores him. Kamala Harris beats him in the head-to-head match-ups.
BRZEZINSKI: [laughs].

JOE SCARBOROUGH: And if there's anything to define what the Republican Party is right now, where, you know, if you get raped by a family member, and you're 13 and 14 years old, you’ve got to flee the state. Like, you know, forcing -- forced births for rape and incest victims, or you know, being afraid to send your kids to school because they are allowing deranged 18-year-olds to buy military weapons of war that the overwhelming majority of Americans don’t want 18-year-olds to get. Right? Or January 6, them providing cover for Donald Trump for January 6. All of the stuff adds up. And it adds up to a point where Americans go “you know, yeah, I'm-- I’m not—I’m not really thrilled with what is happening in the White House in fact I don’t like what’s happening in the White House but I'm sure not going to trust Republicans.”
MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Cuckoo.
SCARBOROUGH: These guys are wackos and insurrectionists and freaks. I’m certainly not going to trust them to run the country. I have never seen polls like this again. 33 percent approval rating. 64 percent of Democrats said they do not want Joe Biden to run again. And yet, he beats Donald Trump in a head-to- head match-up. And it’s not the first one an -- an -- same thing again with Kamala. Can I ask you -- when is the last positive profile you have seen about Kamala Harris and by— and by judging by looking at the news every day,
BRZEZINSKI: And what show --
SCARBOROUGH: — would you ever believe that Kamala Harris would beat Ron DeSantis in head-to-head match-up in one poll after another? Of course Republicans are now going to rig a poll. They’ll go out and say “oh, let's fix one so Ron actually beats — beats her. You know maybe put in more Republicans tha — than — or maybe they just put all white people I don’t know, wha — whatever floats their boat. But it’s really crazy isn’t it, Jonathan. Just again, the bad news we hear about this White House and yet Biden still beats Trump, Harris still beats DeSantis. It is crazy.
JONATHAN LEMIRE: Yeah, a few takeaways here, Joe. Top of which is excellent impersonation typing —
BRZEZINSKI: Yeah.
LEMIRE: — as a foxnews.com correspondent there. I think that — first of all I think there is a sense and we’ve talked about it during the show, there is a frustration among some Democrats towards this White House. A sense of eternal gratitude to Joe Biden for defeating Donald Trump in 2020, but thinking perhaps he is not the right guy to now defeat Trumpism, and that maybe, because of matters of effectiveness and age that he perhaps should not be the nominee in 2024. I think that’s fair. But also a sense though — two other takeaways. One is, as we see the overall poll numbers, pull — poll numbers across the board — Biden and Trump, maybe a sense among American voters, they just want something different, they’ve already seen —
BRZEZINSKI: Yeah.
LEMIRE: — this race in 2020 and they’re looking for a fresh cast of characters. But your point is also an important one here. That as poorly as this White House, President, Vice President are polling, and you’re right, there isn’t a positive profile about the Vice President in ages, that there’s still — the Republicans seem to be out of step from the mainstream. And there’s so much going wrong right now there’s still certainly a general sense of frustration and discontent and malaise across the country because of matters like inflation, because of the pandemic, because of gun violence, because of the January 6 hearings, the list — because of the Supreme Court decisions, the list goes on and on. But yet, if you take the issues by issues, more Americans agree with where the Democrats are, than where the Republicans are. That though, even though they know this Midterms environment is challenging, but when voters go into the ballot box and they see the list of choices on the Republican side, when they see the potential candidates they’re going to field in 2024, they might stay with the Dems, Joe Biden himself is fond of the saying “don’t choose between me and the Almighty, choose between me and the alternative.” And right now —
BRZEZINSKI: There you go.
LEMIRE: — the alternative is the Republicans, who seem out of step.
SCARBOROUGH: Well — and Mika, you look and there’s another story about Republicans being concerned about some of the Senate candidates and for good reason. Like, this should be an extraordinary year for the Republican Party. They still may do extraordinarily well in the House. But you look at the Senate candidates that they’ve put up in Georgia with Herschel Walker, in Pennsylvania, New Jersey’s own Dr. Oz. You look at who they’ve put up in Ohio. They’ve got to run with Ron Johnson. Just the crackpots in Arizona that are lining up that looks like are going to be nominated to run there.
