Morning Joe has abandoned any pretense of being anything other than an abject mouthpiece for the DNC in general, and the Biden campaign in particular.
Take today's opening panel. It included Al Sharpton and Karine Jean-Pierre. Until recently, Jean-Pierre had been an MSNBC analyst, but is now an official Biden campaign aide. Yet she appeared not as a guest to be questioned [and forget grilled], but as a panelist! The absurdity reached its height when Mika Brzezinski invited Jean-Pierre to:
"Put aside your position with the Biden campaign and talk about this moment."
Right.
The first guest was Adrienne Elrod, a former Hillary campaign aide who had been a Morning Joe regular until she was also recently named a . . . Biden campaign aide! Lobbing Elrod a softball to start things off, Mika Brzezinski invited Elrod to comment on the fact that the "contrast gets bigger every day" between Biden and President Trump.
Elrod was only too happy to agree: "yeah, Mika: it certainly does."
Beyond its utter partisanship, Morning Joe has committed the graver sin of becoming predictable, and ultimately, boring. Between Joe Scarborough's repetitious anti-Trump tirades and the steady stream of liberal guests, there is rarely-if-ever a dissenting or interesting voice to be heard. Sad!
Here's the transcript.

Morning Joe
6/10/20
6:00 am EDTMIKA BRZEZINSKI: Good morning and welcome to Morning Joe. It is Wednesday, June 10th. With us, we have the host of MSNBC’s Politics Nation and President of the National Action Network, Reverend Al Sharpton. Former chief public affairs officer for Moveon, Karine Jean-Pierre, she's now a senior adviser to the Biden campaign.
. . .
Karine Jean-Pierre, Joe Biden is obviously stepping into the void of empathy in the presidency and filling that. But let’s put aside your position with the Biden campaign for just a moment and talk about this moment. And how does it move beyond being just an incredibly powerful moment in our history?
KARINE JEAN-PIERRE: Yeah, that’s right. That’s right, Mika. Look, yesterday's funeral, the homegoing for George Floyd, it was powerful, it was beautiful. But it was also incredibly hurtful. It was also incredibly sad.
. . .
MIKA: Joining us now, former Chief of Staff to the DCCC and now, director of surrogate strategy and operations for the Biden campaign, Adrienne Elrod. Congratulations!
ADRIENNE ELROD: Thank you.
MIKA: That’s fantastic news, for you. And let’s talk about Joe Biden then, in all of this, because the contrast gets bigger every day.
ELROD: Yeah, Mika, it certainly does. And this is one of the reasons Joe Biden is leading so far in the polls right now. Not just leading: he's substantially ahead of Donald Trump at this moment because Americans are sick and tired of seeing this type of behavior coming from the Oval Office. They are ready to see the leadership restored, integrity restored.
