In the midst of the Kavanaugh show trial with the Senate Judiciary Committee back on September 27, longtime Democratic staffer Jackson Cosko released personal information (including the home addresses) for Republican members of the committee. This act of “doxxing” went all but ignored by the liberal media for almost two weeks. On Tuesday, a judge denied him bail and the major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) continued their total blackout.
Where the liberal broadcast networks failed, Fox News Channel’s Special Report anchor Bret Baier filled in the gaps:
A former staff member for Democratic Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee is still in jail tonight. Bail was denied this afternoon for Jackson Costco. He’s accused of committing several felonies including the release of personal information about Republican Senators on the internet. He's also accused of threatening a witness, unlawfully accessing a government computer, and burglary of a senatorial office. He has pleaded ‘not guilty’.
Their complete blackout of this case had kept their viewers in the dark about this serious breach of the law. Their refusal to cover the doxxing last week meant their audience was unaware that Cosko also threatened to release the health information of the GOP lawmakers’ children.
According to a FoxNews.com report by Adam Shaw at the time, Cosko made the threat after he was caught accessing a Congressional computer and using an account neither of which he was authorized to work with.
“Cosko is alleged to have been confronted by the staffer and then walked out,” reported Shaw. “The staffer then called police. Hours later the witness received an email from "livefreeorpwn@gmail.com" saying: ‘If you tell anyone I will leak it all. Emails signal conversations Gmails. Senators children’s health information and socials.’”
Fox News also discovered last week that Cosko apparently had two secret Twitter accounts. “One account, @TrundleDaGreat, which has not been active since October 2, is linked to Cosko’s personal email account. Cosko was arrested on October 3,” reported Lukas Mikelionis. “The other one, named ‘Radical Ed’ is linked to an email account - livefreeorpwn@gmail.com”
If the story wasn’t crazy enough, on Tuesday, reports also surfaced that investigators found hard narcotics in Cosko’s possession. According to The Washington Times:
Prosecutors revealed investigators found cocaine and methamphetamine during a search of his possessions, and speculated he may have been under the influence when, according to police, he used his government credentials to post personal information of some lawmakers at the height of the grueling Kavanaugh-nomination fracas, and broke into a senator’s office while threatening to release other information.
In addition, principal Spanish-language networks Telemundo and Univision also had omitted the doxxing scandal from their broadcasts.
All of this omitted information are examples of the liberal broadcast networks abdicating their duty to inform their viewers just so they could protect the image of the Democratic Party.
