John Stossel Discusses RFK Jr’s Live Earth Rant With Steve Malzberg

As NewsBusters reported Monday, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., made some absurd statements about a number of conservative media members at Al Gore’s Live Earth concert in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

One of those Kennedy called a flat earther, ABC’s John Stossel, after debating Kennedy on Fox News’ “Your World with Neil Cavuto” Wednesday, spoke quite candidly about this issue with WOR radio’s Steve Malzberg.

It’s safe to say that Stossel was less than kind with his rebuttal (audio available here):

The level of his hypocrisy is endless. He flies in the private jets while preaching this stuff. He says we have to go to alternate sources of energy. But when they propose a wind farm in Cape Cod miles out to sea, near the Kennedy compound, he then opposes it. I mean, he's an imbecile. This guy is really irresponsible.

Malzberg responded:

Of course, when you brought that up on “Cavuto” earlier today, he said, “Well, let’s get back to global warming.”

Stossel: My wife is here staring at me for calling him an imbecile. But I think imbecile is kind, because either he’s an imbecile, or he’s just a venal liar. And I think just saying he is dumb and doesn’t get it is a kinder way to put it.

I’m verklempt. Talk amongst yourselves.
