On Monday, The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg got very heated in her defense of Planned Parenthood and attacked those in Congress who want to deny federal funds to the abortion giant by telling them to "get out of my vagina."
This might underline why men click the channel quickly past this show.
The discussion sprang out of the second Republican presidential debate, when Carly Fiorina cited a Center for Medical Progress video on Planned Parenthood, which briefly used stock footage of a miscarried baby. Fiorina was pressed on Fox News Sunday about the video.
“Well no one has ever actually seen that video,” cracked Joy Behar. ABC’s Paula Faris noted “There is, there is a 10-minute video. And I don't wish any of you to watch this because it's horrific...But Politico, which is a nonbiased organization, and they basically call out organizations or politicians when they're not being factual, says that the video of the fetus, of the child, is actually stock footage....So it's, it was taken out of context. The video does exist. But it's totally taken out, we don't know the context.” Faris then corrected herself, she meant PolitiFact was the “nonbiased organization.”
Joy Behar lamely joked that somehow the Planned Parenthood video was a complete fiction: "You know, I have a video of me as a size zero, but I don't know where it is. I don't know where it is. I've never seen it, actually, but I think Hillary and Obama should watch it."
Then the sermon about how only God can judge you about your abortion began:
RAVEN-SYMONE: Even still this - this Planned Parenthood and what we keep fighting for, some ladies need it. Some ladies need it. Some ladies need it. And, yes, there should be regulations where it can be safe, you know, but also don't be going around having babies that you can't have, and if you have a problem with it...
WHOOPI GOLDBERG: But wait a minute. But wait a minute. You know what? People get pregnant in all kinds of ways, and people cannot always afford to have the child that they are pregnant with. And it is nobody, not even God, God says, come to me, if you have an issue, come to me. Nobody else can judge you. [Applause]
And so here's my question, now that they defunded Planned Parenthood, now that you've defunded it, and perhaps forgotten why Planned Parenthood came into being [if you sidestep the eugenics?], which was, people got tired of tripping over women with hangers hanging out of their bodies, because they were giving themselves these abortions. It was supposed to be safe and clean. So explain to me now what you're going to do, because if you think this is going to stop women from doing it, it's not. People who are desperate enough to go and get an abortion, there's a reason they need it. They feel they need it. And it's, it's, get out of my vagina!
After more whoops and applause, then came the official ABC reading of the Planned Parenthood press release:
JOY BEHAR: Apparently the powers that be would like me to read this statement from Planned Parenthood. Okay. Carly -- this is from Planned Parenthood. "Carly Fiorina's claims about Planned Parenthood are completely untrue. She describes a video that literally does not exist. Carly Fiorina was either duped or she's being dishonest again. If she can be fooled this easily to cite a video that doesn't exist as part of a smear campaign that has been totally discredited by experts, I'd hate to see what Vladimir Putin would do with her."
This is from Planned Parenthood, Planned Parenthood Vice President Eric Ferrero.
Goldberg ended with another lecture: “ If you don't believe in abortion, I say this all the time, if you don't believe in it, don't have one. You have that right. But when you take that right from somebody else who needs it and you don't know anything about them, I think it's just, it's not how our government works. And, you know, I pay for a lot of stuff with my tax money, and I don't bitch about it. Okay?”
It's amazing how little of the actual Planned Parenthood video is discussed. As usual, the Left only focuses on the "need" for abortions on demand, and never discusses what happens with the corpses afterward.
