As was reported here on Wednesday afternoon, ABC, NBC, and CBS had nothing but gushing praise for former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. This was also true on Wednesday evening as the liberal networks drooled all over Reid and his legacy as the longtime leader of the Democratic Party in the U.S. Senate. However, NBC Nightly News did change their tune slightly from this morning.

On Tuesday evening Illinois Senator Kimberly Lightford was carjacked by three suspects wearing masks, according to a report by Fox 32 News. Approximately nine minutes into their broadcast, CBS Evening News was quick to report on the fact that U.S. consumer confidence rose to its highest levels since July. 

With the surge in the new Omicron variant spreading rapidly throughout the country, and the Biden Administration seemingly being caught off guard by its spread, the CBS Evening News worked to run cover their friends in the White House by avoiding any mention of Biden’s COVID failures.
